Brutal attack on SNS official Sandra Bozic: Minister Mesarovic demands immediate reaction from institutions

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic has strongly condemned an act of violence perperrated against Vice President of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina and ruling SNS party official Sandra Bozic.
"I am appalled and strongly condemn the brutal attack on Sandra Bozic, just because she has a different political opinion than a thug blockader (anti-government protester). Unfortunately, we are reminded every day how 'brave' they are when they hit women, insult them, attack them, beat them...," Mesarevic said in a post on Instagram, and added:
"It is especially terrible that women are aggressive, and that they attack other women who successfully fought for greater rights for all of us, to be more visible and active in the public space, to be given equal chances and equal rights. No woman in Serbia should be exposed to physical violence because of her political views, and especially not because she honorably and proudly represents the SNS."
"I call on all institutions to react urgently and for the perpetrators of this brutal violence to be arrested and punished," Mesarevic continued, and concluded:
"A society that tolerates violence against women — whether in politics or in any other sphere cannot make progress. Our common task is to clearly show that Serbia is not a country where thugs rule, but a country where law and justice do! The policy of our president Aleksandar Vucic and SNS leader Milos Vucevic is a guarantee that violence will never win in Serbia! Stop the violence! A decent Serbia will win."
