Vucevic: Talks with EPP on October 22, everything will be fine with status of Serbian Progressive Party

Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic says that he and SNS official Ana Brnabic will on October 22 have a meeting with the European People's Party (EPP) representatives about complaints related to the SNS, and added that he believes everything will be fine with the status of the party in the EPP.
"Ana I received an invitation for, if I'm not mistaken, October 22, we will go to the EPP for talks regarding these complaints related to the SNS. And on October 22 will hear about who made the complaints," Vucevic told K1 TV.
He added that the SNS is not shaken, as presented in some media.
"They probably want to show that the SNS is collapsing in Europe and how they will bring it down with the help of Europe. We will have elections for three municipalities by the end of the year, so we will see everyone's standing among the people of Serbia and whether we are shaken, and whether because of that the EPP is starting something," said Vucevic.
He expressed his belief that the EPP will determine that the SNS has a place there.
Asked if he thinks that some opposition parties have sent complaints about the ruling SNS to the EPP, Vucevic said that this was certain.
In the previous days, the opposition media published several articles claiming that the status of the SNS in the EPP is called into question due to "excessive use of force against protesters in Serbia."
The EPP Presidency announced on September 25 that it had tasked EPP General Secretary Dolors Montserrat and EPP Vice-President Kostis Hatzidakis to lead EPP's internal control process regarding the role of the SNS within the EPP and that they would be in close contact with all stakeholders, including the SNS leadership.
A statement stressed that this was not about any suspension or exclusion, but about a thorough internal investigation, with openly available results.
