Serbian central bank (NBS) issues statement about payment of FUEL, and BILLS!

The Serbian central bank (NBS) IPS instant system is the most cost-effective way to make payments – both for users and for all participants in the payment system, the NBS has stated.
This system enables a fast and efficient settlement of monthly utility and other bills containing the NBS IPS QR code, with immediate confirmation of the transaction's execution.
The Serbian central bank added that the instant payment infrastructure in Serbia allows citizens to easily make payments within just a few seconds without visiting bank branches, using only their mobile phones, and without having to manually enter payment details, which significantly reduces the possibility of errors.
By scanning the NBS IPS QR code printed on monthly bills, payments become not only simple but also considerably cheaper as banks offer significantly lower fees for this type of payment compared to the fees users pay when making card payments through electronic portals, while some banks even allow users to make payments by scanning the NBS IPS QR code free of charge.
The NBS IPS QR code is printed on bills issued by Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS), JKP Infostan Tehnologije, JKP Informatika Novi Sad, as well as other public utility companies.
Citizens can also pay telecommunication services bills in the same way at retail locations of Telekom Srbija, A1 Srbija, Yettel, as well as at physical points of sale of some retails chains, gas stations, etc, and when shopping at some online stores.
