General Pavkovic will be laid to rest today in the Alley of Distinguished Citizens in Belgrade's New Cemetery.
The funeral will take place at 13:30, half an hour after the church memorial service, the family announced.
General Nebojsa Pavkovic died on Monday in Belgrade, at the age of 79.
He was the Chief of the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army from February 2000 to June 2002, and during the NATO aggression against Serbia in 1999 served as the commander of the 3rd Army, which was deployed in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Hague Tribunal sentenced Pavkovic to 22 years in prison in 2009, after the prosecution charged him with crimes against humanity and violation of the laws and customs of war.
The general served his prison sentence in Finland. On September 28 he arrived in Belgrade, after he was released early at the request of the Government of Serbia due to his serious health condition.
Pavkovic was awarded the Order of Freedom in June 1999.
