WE LEARN Drunk driver who killed family of three in New Belgrade was also on drugs
A drunk driver from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is suspected of causing a traffic accident in New Belgrade early on Sunday that killed three members of a family, has also tested positive for narcotics, Telegraf has unofficially learned!
N.DJ., 24, from Brcko crashed his Audi directly into a car in which Bojan Z., 43, a police officer, was driving with his wife Dijana K., 38, and their 9-year-old son, killing all three.
The accident happened at the intersection near West 65 Tower and in addition to being under the influence of alcohol, the suspect was also on marijuana, a drug test taken after the accident has shown.
The suspect had 1.17 permilles of blood alcohol content at the time of the accident in New Belgrade.
He has been remanded in police custody that can last up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought before the prosecutor for questioning, along with a criminal complaint charging him with committing a serious offense against public traffic safety.
A young man who was a passenger in the Audi was seriously injured in the collision.
