Veljko Paunovic is new head coach of Serbia's national football team, to be on bench against England
Fantastic news for Serbian football! Serbia gets the head coach the whole nation wanted, and it is Veljko Paunovic, Telegraf has learned.
According to information available to Telegraf, the general secretary of the Football Federation of Serbia (FSS), Branko Radujko, has traveled to Spain to finalize all the details of the signing.
What will especially delight the fans is the fact that Veljko Paunovic will take over the team as soon as in November, in time for the games against England away on November 13 and against Latvia in Leskovac three days later.
Telegraf recently carried out a poll about the selection of the new head coach of Serbia, where Veljko Paunovic won convincingly.
The formalization of the agreement with Veljko Paunovic is expected in the next two days at the latest, but now there is no more dilemma, Serbia will get a coach that the whole nation wants and who 10 years ago became the world champion in New Zealand, as a member of the young Serbian national team - and that generation is now the backbone of the senior squad.
