Milan Bogdanovic, who was wounded last week, welcomed with fireworks in front of Serbian Assembly

Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Milos Vucevic, and numerous citizens last night welcomed Milan Bogdanovic, who was shot and wounded last week in front of the Serbian Assembly.

Bogdanovic was greeted with a big fireworks display in that same location.

Vucevic thanked the doctors for helping Bogdanovic and stressed that the shot at Milan was fired at each of us, at everyone who thinks differently and lives for Serbia.

"That was a shot at Serbia," Vucevic said in front of the Serbian Assembly, where Milan Bogdanovic was wounded on October 22 (by a supporter of anti-government protests and blockades).

According to Vucevic, Milan has overcome it all, and he and the citizens who gathered referred to Bogdanovic as a hero.

Bogdanovic, who has not yet fully recovered from the consequences of the shooting, was asked by a journalist whether he is aware of what happened to him, and said that he was - but did not why.

"They can't intimidated us with either weapons or gestures," Milan said and added that for him personally, nothing would be worth shooting at another person.

"We are used to (party premises) being set on fire, of being insulted, but we are not used to getting shot," said Milan, thanking everyone for their support.

A large banner was displayed in front of the Serbian Assembly last night that read, "We are all Milan".
