President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today in Belgrade with the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Andreas von Beckerath, about the country's EU path and implementation of the reform agenda, and pointed out that European integration and EU membership remain Serbia's strategic goal.
"A good conversation with Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath about Serbia's European path and the implementation of the reform agenda," Vucic said in a post on Instagram.
He added that European integration and membership in the EU remain Serbia's strategic goal because "it is not only a geopolitical commitment, but a path to even faster development of the country and a better life for its citizens."
"I stressed our commitment to further implementing reforms that are essential for Serbia's progress, including reforms related to the rule of law, strengthening democratic institutions and improving transparency," Vucic stated.
The president added that Serbia remains a responsible and reliable partner to the EU, committed to peace, stability and prosperity on the European continent, as well as to common European values, such as the rule of law, solidarity and freedom.
