Vucic: New people in Serbian police are proven patriots and top professionals
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said last night that new people have been appointed to the Serbian police who are proven patriots and top professionals, and that he is confident that they will fulfill their tasks very well.
Vucic told this to Informer when asked to comment on last night's announcement by the MUP that Police Director Dragan Vasiljevic decided to appoint Police Colonel Radoslav Repac as commander of the Gendarmerie, while the former commander of the Gendarmerie, Police Colonel Sasa Kosovic, is now an assistant director of police.
"These are people who are proven patriots, people who are excellent and professional, people with a sense of responsibility, and I believe that they will fulfill their tasks in a very, very good way in the future," said Vucic.
The president added that he saw some announcements from the Ministry of Interior (MUP) and spoke with them, with the director of police and the interior minister.
"What I know is, whether today or a couple of days ago, Mr. Zmiric was appointed as commander of the SAJ (Special Anti-Terrorist Unit), Mr. Repac as commander of the Gendarmerie, General Simic as commander of the Border Police, and soon, probably, Mr. Selakovic will become the commander of the brigade, if I'm not mistaken. I may have made a mistake, but these are people who are proven patriots, people who are excellent and professional," said Vucic.
