Ana (20) and Aleksandar (37) died in this canal: No one noticed crashed car for 3 days, and here's WHY

20-year-old Ana Radovic from Zlatibor was missing for three days before her body was found on Wednesday.

The last time she spoke to her brother was on Sunday at around 19:00, and today, her body was pulled out of a concrete canal next to the main Cacak-Pozega road. Her friend, 37-year-old Aleksandar M., drove the Audi they were traveling in, and also died.

Radovic's mobile phone stopped working on Monday around 11:00.

The bodies have been sent for autopsies, and the vehicle will be examined by experts. The investigation will determin how the accident happened.

According to witnesses, there are no braking tracks on the road. The force of the impact is evident in the fact that the front part of the car is crushed.

According to our reporter at the scene, the rescuers had to cut parts of the vehicle in order to extract the bodies of the victims.

Telegraf's source familiar with the case who has extensive experience, said that because of the inaccessibility of the spot, the "Audi of death" could only have been noticed by a truck driver.

The car in which Ana and her friend were traveling drove off the road directly into the canal near Lake Medjuvrsje and remained stuck there on its side. Some leaves also fell over the vehicle, making it additionally difficult to spot from the road.

According to our source, only a truck driver, due to the height of such vehicles, could have possibly seen the car in the narrow canal.

That explains why no one passing along this busy stretch of road noticed the crashed Audi for three full days.
