President Aleksandar Vucic addressed the "Serbia-Africa 2025: Dignity" conference, organized by the BIA agency in the Palace of Serbia, to say that he hopes for deep and long-term unity between the peoples of Serbia and Africa.

"An old African proverb says that if spider webs came together, they could catch a lion. There is another similar proverb - unity is strength, and division is weakness. I hope for a deep and long-term unity of the peoples of Africa and Serbia and other peoples who want such unity with Africa," said Vucic.

He added that relations between Serbia and African countries are woven into the common struggle for freedom and justice and are today built on a long tradition of trust, equality and a common vision of the future.

"We see Africa not only as partners, but also as brotherly and friendly peoples, with whom we share history, but also the future. It is an exceptional honor for me to address you on the topic that symbolizes unbreakable ties, mutual respect and historical solidarity in relations between the Republic of Serbia and the countries of the African continent," said President Vucic.

He stressed that these relations are the result of a continuous friendship that survives and has developed during the changes in global circumstances and political systems.
