Serbian Deputy PM Dacic embarks on historic visit to Mali: New chapter in relations between two countries

Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic is on an official visit to the Republic of Niger and the Republic of Mali, where he will talk with officials of those countries about strengthening cooperation.

During his visit to the Republic of Niger, Dacic will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Yaou Sangare Bakary, as well as with Minister of Internal Affairs General Mohamed Boubacar Toumba, with whom he will discuss improvement of cooperation and joint fight against organized and other types of crime, the Serbian Interior Ministry, MUP, has announced.

During the official visit to Niger, meetings are also planned with top officials of that country, during which strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation in areas of mutual interest will be discussed.

Dacic will also travel to the Republic of Mali, which is the first official visit of a delegation from the Republic of Serbia to this country in 25 years.

During the visit, Dacic will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulaye Diop, as well as with Minister of Security and Civil Protection General Daoud Aly Mohammedine, with whom he will discuss cooperation in the field of internal affairs.

While in Mali, the Serbian minister will have meetings with top representatives of state institutions with the aim of improving political dialogue and overall relations between the two countries, the MUP statement said.
