The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia on Thursday called on all Serbian citizens who are currently in Iran to leave that country.

At the same time, those who are planning to travel to Iran are urged to cancel those plans due to the worsening security situation and increased risk to personal safety.

The media reported the day before that the United States could launch a military operation against Iran within 24 hours, while US President Donald Trump warned that he is seriously considering the use of force against the country because of the violent suppression of protests that began on December 28, due to the fall in the value of the national currency and the difficult economic situation.

Ministries and embassies around the world have appealed to their citizens to leave Iran and refrain from traveling there.
