Letter from Kremlin! Putin congratulates Serbian Statehood Day, mention of "difficult conditions" says it all
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today received a congratulatory message from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Serbian Statehood Day.
In it, the Russian leader wished Vucic good health and success, and happiness and prosperity to the citizens of Serbia, the Serbian president's press service announced on Friday.
"Please receive my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Serbia - Statehood Day. Relations between our countries are based on time-tested traditions of friendship, cultural and spiritual closeness. I am convinced that regardless of the difficult international conditions, the strategic Russian-Serbian partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres will continue to progressively strengthen," Putin's message reads.
Previously, numerous world leaders and statesmen sent their messages to President Vucic on the occasion of Serbian Statehood Day (Sretenje), February 15.
Since the national holiday this year falls on a Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will be non-working days in our country.
