Vucic and Koopman speak about EU path of Serbia and improving cooperation with the bloc

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met today with European Commission (EC) Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Director-Generain Gert Jan Koopman, with whom he discussed Serbia's EU path, reform processes, improving cooperation with the EU, as well as a set of judicial laws.

"Our goal is to speed up reforms in the area of the rule of law and to improve legal solutions, in line with best European standards, taking into account our citizens' interests and the stability of the legal system," Vucic said in a post on Instagram.

He added that Serbia is doing everything to accelerate preparations for the opening of the remaining clusters in the EU accession process.

"I am grateful to Director Koopman for his personal commitment and support. I expect continued constructive cooperation with European institutions, with the clear goal of Serbia's membership in the EU," President Vucic concluded.
