Serbian police arrest men suspected of planning to attack President Vucic and his family
Last night, two men from Kraljevo - D.R. (51) and M.R. (43) - got arrested on suspicion that they were preparing criminal acts against the constitutional order and security of Serbia, including an attack on the constitutional order.
They were handcuffed by members of the UKP unit, and taken to a police station.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), Criminal Investigations Directorate (UKP) - Crime Suppression Service and police officers from Kraljevo, in cooperation with members of the Security Information Agency (BIA) have arrested D.R. (51) and M.R. (43) from Kraljevo, a statement said.
The two are believed to have been preparing an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia, in connection with the criminal offense of attack on the constitutional order.
They are suspected of conspiring, from December 2025 until February 2026, to violently change the constitutional order of the Republic of Serbia and overthrow top state bodies.
The two suspects are believed to have been arranging the acquisition of weapons to be used to attack and take the lives of President Aleksandar Vucic, his wife and children, as well as to attack and injure members of the MUP.
The suspects will be detained for up to 48 hours and then brought to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kraljevo along with a criminal complaint.
