SPS party issues statement about their leader Ivica Dacic: "We pray for yet another of his victories"

Last night, the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) publicly expressed its support to its leader and Serbian Deputy PM Ivica Dacic, whose health suddenly deteriorated earlier in the evening on Wednesday.

"Despite his seriously damaged state of health, we believe in the strength of Ivica Dacic, who has victoriously responded to all of life's challenges and temptations so far, and we pray for another of his victories. We express our endless gratitude to the doctors and medical staff at the Clinical Center of Serbia, the Clinic for Pulmonology, who are making enormous efforts in this difficult battle," the SPS press release stated.

The party added that they are also grateful to President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Djuro Macut, Minister Zlatibor Loncar, as well as all members of the Socialist Party of Serbia and friends who stand with Dacic and SPS at this time, wishing a speedy recovery to the deputy prime minister.

Ivica Dacic was hospitalized on Wednesday at the Clinical Center of Serbia due to severe pneumonia.

The assistant director for pulmonology, Spasoje Popevic, told Tanjug on Wednesday evening that the situation was very difficult, that Minister Dacic is suffering from severe pneumonia and that the following 72 hours would be crucial.
