TELEGRAF AT CRIME SCENE NEAR KRAGUJEVAC: Novak was riddled with bullets in front of his wife and children!

A Telegraf.rs portal crew is today in the settlement of Erdec near Kragujevac, on an inaccessible and muddy road that yesterday became the scene of the gruesome liquidation of 35-year-old Novak Knezevic.

There is police tape at the place where the murderer traveling on an ATV rained bullets on the victim, in front of his wife and their two young children, and silence and fear reign in the neighborhood.

"I HEARD NOTHING, HELL BROKE OUT IN THE EVENING"

While police inspectors are still combing the area in search of shell casings and other evidence, our team spoke with a local resident whose house is close to the weekend home where Knezevic was staying shortly before his death. His words capture the horror the locals only became aware of hours after the shooting.

"I didn't hear anything. I spoke to my neighbor in the evening, I saw people kept passing by. I called him, I said, 'What's going on?', and he told me, 'You didn't hear? Nemanja's friend has been killed!'," the neighbor told Telegraf.rs.

PROFESSIONAL AMBUSH: ATV KILLER KNEW VICTIM'S EVERY STEP

As we learned at the scene, the location where the crime was committed was carefully selected. The road is so bad there that Knezevic at one point had to slow down almost completely, which the killer took advantage of.

The perpetraitor approached the car and shot Knezevic point blank five times.

Although the victim was riddled with bullets, the wife in the passenger seat and the two children in the back seat were unharmed, but they suffered severe shock.

It is believed that the attacker used the ATV precisely because of the inaccessible terrain, knowing that it would be the fastest way to escape before the police come.

FANS SAYING FAREWELL, CITY IN FEAR

For years, Novak Knezevic was known in the Kragujevac football supporter groups' circles as a Radnicki fan. Although he has not been active in the stands for the last decade, the news of his death interrupted yesterday's match that Radnicki played against Red Star.

His fellow Radnicki fans chanted Knezevic's name from the stands as a way to pay respect to him.

POLICE SIEGE OF ERDEC CONTINUES

The police are intensively checking all of the victim's contacts, as well as the movement of all suspicious vehicles in the neighborhood. The focus of the investigation is on identifying the driver of the ATV, while footage from surveillance cameras installed on all approaches to Kragujevac is also being checked.
