Great honor for President Aleksandar Vucic: China's Xi Jinping extends heartfelt congratulations

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has published a letter sent to him by Chinese President Xi Jinping on his official Instagram account.

In the letter, Xi congratulates Vucic on his upcoming birthday.

"Dear Mr. President,

Please allow me to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of your birthday.

I highly appreciate that, under your leadership, Serbia adheres to its independence and autonomy, resolutely defending state sovereignty and national dignity, and strongly safeguarding economic development and social stability.

We met twice last year, exchanged opinions on Sino-Serbian relations and issues of common interest, and reached a broad consensus. You are a reliable friend of the Chinese people, who consistently and firmly supports the vital interests and understands the main concerns of the Chinese side.

Under our joint guidance, the building of the Sino-Serbian community with a common future in the new era has made positive progress, while the ironclad friendship between the two countries is deeply rooted in the hearts of our peoples.

I attach great importance to the development of Sino-Serbian relations and am ready to, together with you, make joint efforts to continue strengthening the strategic direction and continuously discovering new potential for practical cooperation, in order to contribute even more to the well-being of the people of our two countries.

I look forward to meeting you again. I wish you good health and all the best," Xi Jinping's message concludes.
