First photos of restaurant in Belgrade set on fire by assailant!

An incendiary device was thrown at a fast food restaurant in Kondina Street in Belgrade at around 7 o'clock this morning, and as Telegraf.rs has learned, this resulted in minor material damage.

According to initially available information obtained by Telegraf.rs, an unknown person first broke the window of the restaurant, and then inserted an incendiary device into the interior of the building, which caused a fire.

"The scene was disturbing. Glass was heard breaking, and shortly after that, there was smoke. We immediately called the police and firefighters," said an eyewitness, a residents in Kondina Street.

Two firefighting crews arrived at the scene in record time and localized the fire, preventing it from spreading to the apartments above the restaurant. The police immediately blocked a part of the street in order to investigate. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed in this incident.

According to information from the field, the police are still present at the scene and have taken the footage from surveillance cameras, as intensive work is underway to identify the perpetrator.

The competent prosecutor's office has been informed about the case.

The investigation is ongoing, and more details will be known after the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) issues an official statement.
