HORROR IN BELGRADE! Man breaks into restaurant armed with MEAT CLEAVER, robs guests, DEMOLISHES premises!

The police are intensively searching for a man who last night caused a dramatic incident in a restaurant in Rakovica, a suburban municipality of Belgrade.

Armed with a meat cleaver, the assailant burst into the restaurant full of people, where he began to destroy the furniture in front of the terrified guests.

Rampage and robbery in the middle of dinner

The incident happened suddenly when the unknown man, brandishing the meat cleaver, started breaking the restaurant's inventory. After demolishing some of the interior, the attacker turned to the guests. Threatening the doorman, he robbed several people, taking their money and personal belongings as they stood there in shock.

Even the attacker's exit from the building did not go without incident. During his escape, the man damaged a car that was parked right in front of the entrance to the restaurant.

No injuries, but huge damage

Even though the scene was reminiscent of something out of action movies, it's really lucky that none of those present were physically harmed. Guests and staff immediately alerted the police, but the assailant managed to escape in an unknown direction before the patrol arrived.

"Everything happened in a split second. A man came in furiously, with a meat cleaver in his hand. He started hitting the tables and the bar, and then he started attacking people. It was terrifying to watch that savagery," one of the witnesses of the drama told our portal.

Motive remains a mystery

A lot of material damage was caused to the restaurant, and the police later conducted an investigation. The motive for this attack is currently unknown, while operational work to identify and arrest the perpetrator is ongoing. Footage from surveillance cameras installed on the surrounding buildings is being reviewed.
