SPS thanks its members for support, says coalition with Vucic confirmed as guarantor of Serbia's stability

The Socialist Party of Serbia, SPS, has stated that the victory of the joint list "Aleksandar Vucic - Serbia, our Family" in the local elections in 10 cities and municipalities is a victory for a united, dignified and freedom-loving Serbia.

A statement issued by the SPS stressed that this is another in a series of confirmations of the importance of the long-term coalition with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Aleksandar Vucic, which is a guarantor of peace, stability and defense of state and national interests, but also a confirmation that the only thing any sincere patriot can do is unite and oppose the destabilization of Serbia and threats to its sovereignty.

The SPS thanked all its members and supporters who responded to the call of the party and its leader Ivica Dacic to turn out and vote for the joint electoral list.

"A special challenge for all of us in the Socialist Party of Serbia was the absence of our president Ivica Dacic during the entire election process. We have shown that the SPS is a strong and stable party that functions flawlessly even in the most difficult moments," said the statement.

It added that the Socialist Party of Serbia's operative body for conducting local elections coordinated activities with local committees and actively participated in campaigning in the field.

Regular local elections were held yesterday in Arandjelovac, Bajina Basta, Bor, Kladovo, Knjazevac, Kula, Lucani, Majdanpek, Sevojno and Smederevska Palanka, and President of Serbia and member of the SNS Presidency Aleksandar Vucic announced that the SNS-led election list won in all 10 local governments.
