Serbian President Vucic speaks with Iranian ambassador in Belgrade

The president of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, spoke today in Belgrade with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Sadegh Fazli.

Vucic stressed that it is of great importance for all humanity to find a peaceful solution to the current conflict, in order to prevent a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions.

The president added that Serbia supports a peaceful solution, respect of the UN Charter, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of all countries, the presidential press office quoted Vucic as saying, in a statement issued on Monday.

According to the statement, Ambassador Fazli informed President Vucic about the current situation, stressing that Tehran does not want the war to spread, but is instead looking for diplomatic ways to achieve peace.
