Thousands of people, including public figures, attend funeral of legendary basketball coach Dusko Vujosevic

After the commemoration held in the Belgrade City Assembly, Dusko Vujosevic, the legendary basketball coach who died last Wednesday, was today laid to rest in the New Cemetery.

Several thousand people gathered to attend the funeral, during which it started to rain heavily. All those who were at the commemoration continued to the New Cemetery to say goodbye to their friend, the legend, the man they respected.

Apart from representatives of KK (basketball club) Partizan - Ostoja Mijailovic, members of the staff led by Joan Penarroya, Vanja Marinkovic and Aleksej Pokusevski - Partizan basketball players who were in the past coached by Vujosevic also showed up: Novica Velickovic, Joffrey Lauvergne and his wife, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Milenko Tepic, Uros Tripkovic, Slavko Vranes, Dusan Kecman, Cedomir Vitkovac...

Fellow basketball coach Zeljko Obradovic was among the first to arrive, as were other Partizan legends like Predrag Danilovic, Aleksandar Beric, Mladjan Silobad, Vujosevic's associates from Partizan Vlada Jovanovic and Velimir Gasic... Moka Slavnic was also there, as well as Vlade Djurovic and Darko Milicic.

Vladimir Kuzmanovic, Vule Avdalovic, Neno Asceric, Milija Vojinovic, Misko Raznatovic with Dubai players Aleks Avramovic, Dzanan Musa, Klemen Prepelic were in attendance.

Representatives of the Partizan football club were also there - Rasim Ljajic, Danko Lazovic and Predrag Mijatovic - as well as a number of footballers, such as Sasa Zdjelar, while coach Srdjan Blagojevic and Dragan Bjelogrlic also paid their respects. Former Red Star football coach Aleksandar Jankovic was among the mourners.

Politicians Ivica Dacic and Milorad Dodik attended the funeral, as well as singer Aco Pejovic, Stefan Cvijovic, Milan Djurdjevic, and many other public figures.

Partizan supporters representing various groups and a large number of citizens all turned up to expressed their deep respect.

Apart from Dusko Vujosevic's family, his most faithful friend, Zuta the dog, was also at the cemetery today.
