Mother of Milorad Dodik passes away

SNSD leader Milorad Dodik announced on Friday that his mother had passed away.

Milorad Dodik, on his official X account, published a photo with his mother Mira, to say goodbye to her, along with a poignant message.

"My mother has died. Goodbye, mom, goodbye, my loved one. I know and believe that you are going to a better place. You have been my pillar and strength every time it got difficult. Your warmth warmed me wherever I happened to be, gave me peace and a sense of safety when it was needed the most," wrote Dodik.

"Thank you for giving birth to me, thank you for your love, for your attention, for every unshed tear your hid just so you wouldn't upset me. Forgive me for anything I burdened you with, you know that I did not know how to, and could not do otherwise. Everything that I achieved and every victory that I achieved, I carried through the desire not to disappoint you. I endured any pressure, bearing in mind how you may view it. That feeling remains with me. And it will never change. I know you lived your life deserving of peace and tranquility in a better place. You will live forever through your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All I have left is believing I will hug you once again, and hear your sweet voice telling me, "Take care of yourself, my Mile'."
