President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today offered his condolences to the families of the victims and to President of China Xi Jinping, after a tragedy that occurred in a fireworks factory in China.

"It was with great and sincere sadness that I received the news about a tragic explosion at a fireworks factory in the People's Republic of China. Serbia and China are bound by true, ironclad friendship, which is confirmed in moments of joy, but also in moments of sadness. Our nation deeply sympathizes with the people of China and offers our full support, convinced that with the strength of unity they will overcome this tragedy," Vucic stated in a post on X.

The president added that on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and on his own behalf, he was offering his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to President Xi Jinping.

"We share in their pain and stand by them in these difficult moments. I wish those injured a quick and successful recovery," stated Vucic.
