Close associate of ex Belgrade police chief Veselin Milic arrested: He is suspected of distributing weapons!

Police officers from the Internal Control Sector of the MUP, by order of the public prosecutor of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, detained a Belgrade police officer from the Labor Control Department, B.M (41), and a police officer from the Vracar police station N.K (36), on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position.

There are grounds to believe that the said police officers enabled M.R. to acquire a number of firearms, as well as the approval to the re-issue a collector's permit, to whom other police administrations previously did not grant such permits for security reasons.

Unofficially, one of the arrested suspects is a close associate of the former head of the Belgrade Police, Veselin Milic.

The suspects are now being detained for up to 48 hours, after which they will be brought to the public prosecutor's office for questioning along with a criminal complaint.
