President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has said that he hopes peace will be achieved between the United States and Iran but noted that he does not believe that the agreement currently being mentioned would eliminate "all the imbalances".

Vucic was on TV Prva when he was asked whether he believes that the current "timeout" will be used by Iran and the US to reach a truce, to which he replied that he does.

"Trump's economy is doing great, there's only a problem with the ordinary people, with inflation and oil prices. His fuel is twice, two and a half times more expensive than before, and the ordinary American feels that. And if he establishes peace in the Persian Gulf, around the Strait of Hormuz, and brings that down, people will suddenly notice big changes for the better," said Vucic.

He added that he hoped that peace would be restored.

"I hope they will reach an agreement, although I don't believe that all the imbalances will be eliminated. I hope so, I'm not sure, but it would be important and good news for all of us," said President Vucic.
