President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday hosted one of the most famous Hollywood actresses, Catherine Zeta Jones, noting that he is particularly pleased with the fact that Serbia and Belgrade are being increasingly put on the map of the global film industry.

"I had the great pleasure of hosting one of the biggest Hollywood stars, an actress who took away some of the fame from the famous Zorro, too," reads a caption to an Instagram post.

Vucic added that an increasing number of producers, directors and actors recognize the potential that Serbia offers to the film industry, from attractive locations and professional staff to the hospitality the country is known for.

"More and more producers, directors and actors are discovering what we have known for a long time - that our country offers top locations, talented people and hospitality that they will remembered for a long time," wrote the president.

Vucic jokingly noted that Belgrade could soon become a place where meeting Hollywood stars is as common as coming across one's neighbor.

Catherine Zita Jones arriving in Belgrade further confirms the growing international interest in Serbia as a destination for film and TV production, which has in recent years contributed to the strengthening of the domestic film industry as well.
