Vucic opens International Economic Association Congress with resounding message: Old rules no longer apply
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic this morning in Belgrade attended the opening ceremony of the XXI World Congress of the International Economic Association (IEA), held in the renovated Sava Center venue.
This prestigious gathering brings together the most important names from the world of economics, academics and experts from all over the world.
At the very beginning, the president extended a warm welcome to everyone present, expressing great gratitude to the organizers and participants who traveled to Belgrade to discuss the key current financial and economic topics.
In his speech, Vucic directly addressed dramatic changes in global markets and stressed that the theme of this year's congress is global economic reality. He pointed out that humanity is currently living in a specific and challenging time, where literally all economic theories that ruled decades ago are collapsing before our very eyes.
President of Serbia particularly noted the fact that the modern world is highly interconnected on the one hand, while on the other deeply fragmented and divided. According to Vucic, it is precisely in this great contradiction that the core of all modern challenges that the global economy is facing lies.
