FM Djuric meets with Argentinian counterpart Quirno in Panama City

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric met in Panama City, during the 56th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Religion of Argentina Pablo Quirno, with whom he discussed strengthening the ties between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the interlocutors agreed that relations between Serbia and Argentina are characterized by great closeness in terms of respect of the basic principles of international law, and with the existing potential for cooperation, a strong basis is created for further improvement of relations between the two countries.

It is added that during the conversation, Djuric particularly stressed that Serbia would appreciate the participation of Argentina in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, inviting that country to join the biggest international event next year, that Serbia will organize.

The minister pointed out that Serbia highly values ​​Argentina's principled position not to recognize Kosovo as independent, as well as the support that Argentina provides to Serbia in international organizations.

The head of Serbian diplomacy invited Minister Quirno to visit Serbia, assessing that the visit would be an additional incentive to strengthening political dialogue and the overall bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Argentina.

The statement added that Minister Quirno pointed out that Argentina highly appreciates the effort that Serbia invests in creating bridges with Latin American countries.
