Another man is killed by wasp swarm in Belgrade: Doctors tried but failed to save him
Horror in a Belgrade neighborhood! Telegraf unofficially learned that a 39-year-old man, N.M, suffered multiple wasp stings and eventually died in a local Healthcare Center.
According to initial information, on Tuesday evening N.M. was attacked by a swarm of wasps, which stung him on the head and neck. He fell ill and was immediately transported to the Healthcare Center.
The doctors tried to treat him, but unfortunately he died soon after. The body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
Death from a wasp sting is most often the result of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock), which can develop very quickly.
However, the cause of death in this case will be known only after the autopsy, so for now it is not known whether it was the allergic reaction that had led to the fatal outcome.
Doctors are meantime waning people that in case an insect sting causes the swelling of the tongue or throat, difficul breathing, dizziness or loss of consciousness, this is a condition that requires them to immediately seek emergency medical help.
According to eyewitnesses, N.M., a father of three, was trying to help a neighbor who had just given birth by moving the furtniture in her apaprtment, when he inadvertently upset a wasp nest that had settled there.
