Vucic hosts Van Damme: "I lost arm wrestling match, but I won't give you the pleasure of seeing that on video"
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Sunday hosted the famous actor Jean-Claude van Damme in Belgrade, and said they spoke about many topics.
"It's a great pleasure to host Jean-Claude Van Damme in Belgrade - a man whose films generations grew up with and who showed us that, with enough discipline and persistence, you can sometimes win even when everyone thinks it's impossible," Vucic stated in a post on the Instagram account of "buducnostsrbijeav".
"I am especially glad that with his participation at the Nis Film Festival he will contribute to the promotion of (the city of) Nis and Serbia in the world".
"Along with a good dinner, there were many topics - from film and sports to Serbia and everything that we still need to show the world. And we also concluded that success, whether in film, in sports or in life, cannot be achieved without hard work, discipline and great energy".
"P.S. - I didn't ask for a demonstration of the famous splits between chairs because Jean Claude Van Damme came in a suit. Some diplomatic risks shouldn't be taken after all. As for arm wrestling, I lost, but I won't give you the pleasure of seeing that on video," the post concluded.
