DISTURBING VIDEO OF KRALJEVO TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Speeding car mows down mother and two children

Kraljevo and the whole of Serbia were are stunned by a serious accident that happened in that town when a car swerving on the road at high speed hit a mother with two small children. A five-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries at the University Children's Clinic in Belgrade.

The accident happened yesterday around 19:00 hours. According to eyewitnesses, a family of four - the parents, the girl who died and a baby in a stroller - were moving along the sidewalk when a SEAT ran into them and mowed them down.

In a disturbing video obtained by Telegraf, a SEAT can be seen moving at high speed. Having overtaken a car, the driver lost control and while braking, sent the car onto the sidewalk where the victims were.

"There was a terrible crash of metal, and then the cries. The car literally mowed down the mother and children and threw them down a slope all the way to the fence of the city pool. The father narrowly escaped being hit, but he watched his loved ones get hurt. I will never forget the sight of the pram crumpled on the grass," said one of the eyewitnesses.

Passers-by immediately rushed to help the family and pulled them out before the ambulance arrived.

The 5-year-old was transported from the scene in a deep coma with extremely severe injuries to her head and internal organs. Despite every effort made by the doctors in Kraljevo and Belgrade, she passed away.

Her younger brother suffered severe head and limb injuries. He is being treated in Belgrade and is under constant supervision of doctors who are doing everything to save his life. The mother was hospitalized in the Studenica General Hospital in Kraljevo with serious physical injuries, where she is recovering.

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kraljevo conducted an investigation at the scene of the accident. The driver was immediately taken into custody, while the competent prosecutor's office ordered a detailed investigation, including breathalyzer, blood tests and expert examination of the speed of the vehicle.

Residents in this street have been warning about the dangers on that section of the road for a long time and are appealing on drivers to slow down, especially near the promenade where a large number of parents with children pass by every day.
