Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric today offered his condolences to the families of the victims of devastating floods on the border between Nepal and China.

"I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the devastating flash floods on the Nepal-China border, and wish strength, courage and a swift recovery to all those injured, as well as the safe rescue of people still missing," said Djuric in a post on the X.

He added, "Our thoughts are with the people of Nepal and China in this difficult moment".

More than 1,000 people are missing after the floods hit Nepal and Tibet, including a large number of tourists, while at least 165 people have died.

The US Geological Survey said the disaster was caused by a massive landslide that generated seismic energy equivalent to a magnitude 4.4 earthquake.
