3 AM DRAMA IN NEW BELGRADE: 10 cars torched

Residents in Jurija Gagarina Street in New Belgrade were awakened by a dramatic scene around 3 o'clock this morning.

In a fire that broke out in a parking lot, a total of ten cars were damaged, some of which were completely burned down, with only a charred shell left.

Visibly upset locals who went to work early this morning found the destroyed cars. They claim that an arsonist is active in their neighborhood and suspect that the attacker this time brought a bucket of fuel to intentionally set fire to parked vehicles.

Firefighting crews arrived at the scene quickly and localized the fire, preventing it from spreading to other nearby cars.

The police and the competent prosecutor's office were immediately informed about the incident. An investigation was carried out at the scene, and the authorities are intensively working to establish all the circumstances and find the person responsible.

The exact cause of the fire and the assessment of the amount of material damage will be known after the completion of all necessary expert reports.
