First footage from Belgrade: Crowds of people arriving at church where Ratko Mladic lies in repose
From the early hours of the morning, long lines of citizens have been forming in front of a church located in the Belgrade neighborhood of Kosutnjak, where the body of Ratko Mladic lies in repose before the Orthodox funeral service later in the day.
The first videos and photos show a mass of people arriving from the direction of Kneza Viseslava Street. Those gathered wait in silence to approach the church and pay their respects.
Around the church itself and in the nearby streets, the presence of police, security and guards who regulate the movement of the crowd and traffic has noticeably increased, considering that the arrival of thousands of people from Serbia and the region is expected.
A protective fence has been set up in front of the church to guide the mourners in, while media crews have already taken up their positions. The event is being covered by a large number of Serbian and foreign media outlets.
