His son Darko and family members were the first to bow before the coffin, followed by Mladic's closest comrades. Darko Mladic, his mother Bosiljka and granddaughter Anastasija are receiving condolences.

The president of the New Democratic Party of Serbia, Milos Jovanovic, was seen today in the crowd of people who came to attend the funeral, as well as Aleksandar Vulin and Danica Grujicic.

Members of Russia's Night Wolves motorcycle club also arrived at Ratko Mladic's funeral and the Telergaf team reporting from the church filmed them arriving in large numbers.

A delegation of the Democratic People's Party of Montenegro was also seen, consisting of Montenegrin Assembly member and member of the party's presidency Vladislav Bojovic, as well as President of the Municipality of Zeta and member of the party presidency Mihailo Asanovic. Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selakovic, also came to pay his respects to Mladic.

The former commander of the Army of the Serb Republic (VRS) Ratko Mladic died on August 27, at the age of 84 in the detention unit in Scheveningen.

Mladic died in the custody of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.

Ratko Mladic was born on March 12, 1942 in the village of Bozinovici near Kalinovik, now a town in the Serb Republic (RS, the Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina). He graduated from the KoV Military Academy and the Command and Staff Academy as one of the best in his class.

Mladic started his military career in Skopje, now North Macedonia, in 1965, and during his service in the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) he was in 1992 promoted to the rank of general-lieutenant.
