Kazakhstan leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev receives Serbia's top state award, on major state holiday
As Serbia this Tuesday marks the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic awarded President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a large necklace.
The ceremony took place in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.
This prestigious state award was given to Tokayev for his exceptional merits in developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation, as well as for improving friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
President Vucic, speaking about the laureates recognized this September 15, pointed out that Serbia expresses its gratitude to those who have indebted our country with their deeds.
"Dear laureates, let these medals and decorations be a permanent reminder that Serbia values its best people and its great friends. Today, by presenting you with these awards, I want to say to you, that your efforts and work have not gone unnoticed," said Vucic, adding that the achievements of the recipients are visible and appreciated around the world.
