RTS: Belgrade mayor's drugs and alcohol test comes back negative

The mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, is denying that he hit councilor Tanja Micic, and claims that during a verbal conflict in a street in New Belgrade, there was a scuffle with her and her husband.

Micic told the media that Sapic hit her and caused her nose to bleed. Sapic was tested by the police for alcohol and narcotics, and the test was negative, RTS has learned.

After last night's incident in New Belgrade, the Kreni Pokreni Movement announced that their councilor Tanja Micic was physically attacked by Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Sapic.

According to that movement, the incident happened while Micic was with her husband, and that after a verbal argument, there was also physical contact.

Aleksandar Sapic rejected the claims that he hit councilor Tanja Micic and, as reported by Blic, stated that there was a scuffle with Micic's husband, as well as that he pushed the councilor away when she intervened in the conflict.
