Snow is falling in Serbia! This part of the country turned white

The south and southeast of Serbia are influenced by cyclones arriving from the south of the Balkans, so the weather is cloudy, with occasional rain.

There is most precipitation in the southeast of the country, and towards the end of the day and evening, it is also expected in the south.

At the same time, there are conditions for snow on the highest mountains in these areas, mostly above 1,500 meters above sea level.

Snow has already fallen in the south of Kosovo and Metohija, with the higher parts of the Sar mountain turning white, including Brezovica.

As the intensity of precipitation is forecast to increase in these areas towards the end of the day and evening, snow cover is expected to form.

The temperature will be around 0°C.

Serbia is today between a strong anticyclone from the northwest and the Alps, while a strong cyclone is over Greece.

This synoptic situation makes the weather in the north and west of Serbia clear and stable, while the south and east is mostly overcast with precipitation. A strong precipitation system from Greece and Bulgaria will only affect the southern and southeastern parts of Serbia.

While it is cloudy and cold with precipitation in the south and east of Serbia, it is sunny in the north and west and in Belgrade.

Current temperatures range from 9 degrees in the south to 17 degrees in the north, 16 degrees in Belgrade. It was 8 degrees in Sjenica, 7 and 2 on mounts Zlatibor and Kopaonik.
