Dejana Backo (22) is a girl who uses all of her life's adversities to become stronger and more successful. She was born with no hands, but that did not prevent her to get into Art academy and boldly accomplish her dreams.

The girl of steel strength and will doesn't deny that there were some difficult moments behind her, but they formed a person out of her who will not take defeat for an answer!

- I rarely talk about my growing up. It was hard, i had a problem to enroll into grammar school, and so in high school. I even came to mom and asked for her to give me her hands. I would like to point out the fight through life and overcoming obstacles. You overcome the mocking, there is an end to it, only will to be strong! Handicapped is not the one without arms or legs, but the person who doesn't want to use the brain. Everybody whould finds or do something that fulfills them in life. I found pleasure in doing painting! - said brave girl.

Dejana is the youngest member of painters association who paint with their mouth and legs.

- I paint since i was little, my mother brought me various picture books, so i started getting interested in painting and art. Since i was 9 i have been the youngest members of the association WDMFK, which stands for painters who paint with mouth and legs. Now i love painting and i told everybody "I will be a painter", and there - i will become one. I enrolled in Art academy in Novi Sad. So without hands i managed to paint and become a professional? Then why wouldn't you do anything you wish for? Just follow your dreams - said the young artist.

The only thing Dejana can't do is to button her jeans, but she can put on makeup with perfection. She even puts eyeliner with precision with her left leg.

Dejana's love next to painting is taekwondo. She won second place on the European championship in Warsaw, and the coach is very proud of her!

- Dejana Backo, she is a real hero! She called me a few months ago, added me on Facebook and she started training and showed magnificent talent. Her will and desire for success tares down any obstacle and prejudice. It is an honor to work with her. She showed me that anything is possible and that there is no excuse for apathy and laziness - said the coach Aleksandar Andeevski.
