Serbia stormed past Croatia in the first round of the Davis Cup World Group, claiming a 5-0 whitewash and its place in the quarterfinals, on Sunday.
Serbia was given its fifth win in the tie by Viktor Troicki, who beat Mate Delic 6-4, 6-3.

In the first reverse singles match today, Serbia’s Filip Krajinovic triumphed over Croatia’s Franko Skugor 6-4, 6-2.
Serbia secured its spot among the top eight teams in the world yesterday, when Novak Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic beat Marin Draganja and Skugor in the doubles, after Djokovic and Troicki beat Delic and Borna Coric, respectively, in the singles on Friday.
Serbia will play either Argentina or Brazil in the quarterfinals in July.
