SADNESS: Former Red Star football player dies at the age of 35!

Joao Lucas arrived at Marakana in 2007, but already by March 2008, he ended his career due to heart problems

Shocking news come from Portugal. Former Red Star player Joao Lucas died of a heart attack at the age of 35.

Early this morning, Portuguese media relayed the information that Lucas suffered a heart attack and died on the spot.

During his career he played for Akademika, Sporting Pombal, ANAD, Boavista and Red Star.

He came to Red Star  in the summer of 2007, but by March of the following year, it was discovered that he had heart problems for which he had to end his career.

Up until his death, he worked in the Professional Footballers' Union of Portugal.
