Microsoft will help Serbia improve governance efficiency

Microsoft Serbia CEO Zeljko Vujinovic said Tuesday that he was glad to see Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic visit the company office in Washington and discuss the ways to improve public and government services for citizens and businesses by introducing modern IT concepts and solutions

In a written statement to Tanjug, Vujinovic said that Microsoft is ready to draw on its vast experience to help Serbia raise the efficiency of state administration and the interoperability of state bodies.

A partnership between state institutions and Microsoft as a global leader in cyber security can help Serbia improve its national security, and the company's globally recognized expertise can help streamline the activities of government bodies.

By creating better conditions for foreign investments, along with Microsoft's initiatives in the area of education, with the universities and the people, Serbia will be able to reduce unemployment and increase its revenues, added Vujinovic.

Microsoft and its Development Center employ around 250 young people in Serbia, said Vujinovic, adding that this is a clear indicator of the company's business plans in this market and of Serbia's potential in information technologies.
