The high official of American Administration Hoyt Brian Yee will be the new Ambassador of the USA to Macedonia, confirmed the State Department for Al Jazeera in Washington.

Hoyt Yee will replace Jesse Baily, who was appointed as US Ambassador to Skopje in December 2014.

Yee is a diplomat and a current deputy assistant of the state secretary for Europe and European business of American administration in Washington.

He is in charge of United States relations with the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe.

Prior to his appointment to this post, Yee was Deputy Head of Mission of the US Embassy in Zagreb, Croatia, in the period from 2010 to 2013.
