Milena was the happiest woman 6 months ago when she became a mother. Then she learned she had cancer

39-year-old Milena Milenkovic is an IT professional, a photography enthusiast, and a freelancer. She is a sister, a friend, and six months ago she became a mother.
It was then that she gave birth to her Vasilija. Palcica (Thumbelina), as her mother calls her.

She was the happiest woman in the world until a month ago, when the doctors told her the terrible news that struck like a lightning. Milena was diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer.
Milena, the way she is, said, "I'm moving forward." However, in addition to the treatment at the hospital, this brave woman also needs to buy some additional medication, so she asked her friends for help.
And they, guided by her own motto, launched a campaign on social networks under the hashtag #idemdalje. They organized a humanitarian volleyball tournament in Belgrade's river resort Ada Ciganlija, which is open for registration for until August 2 at noon.
"In addition to the competition, there will also be a creative workshop for kids, makeup and knitting for girls and moms, and board games. All the money raised will go toward Vasilija and Milena for her further treatment," tournament organizers say.
Milena is already in therapy, so she won't be able to appear in the tournament. Besides, she says, she plans to work for as long as she can.
When it's hard, she's moving forward. Let's go with her.
