President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic shared a video on Instagram from Saturday's event organized on the occasion of the MUP Day and the Police Day.

"There is nothing more difficult than guarding and protecting the state, thank you very much for doing the hardest job. Long live Serbia!," wrote Vucic.

"You are the ones who keep order and peace, who guarantee everyone that they can be safe. You are the ones on whom the fight against organized crime depends. No one's position or party card must prevent you from obeying the law. I am convinced that you will invest even more effort and energy, to show what courage and training mean this year as well, and next year you will have a salary increase, so I ask you to start with full dedication, and some to continue to do their job. I am proud of you, I will never turn my head but stand at attention in front of you. The police are there to protect the rights of citizens, equally Serbs and Romanians in Vrsac, and Serbs and Bulgarians in Dimitrovgrad and members of any minority group, it is your obligation to be people first in every place," Vucic said on Saturday.
