Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania and so-called Kosovo have agreed to abolish roaming as of July 1, 2021.

This is the result of a year of negotiations, after which an agreement on a gradual reduction of roaming prices was signed in April 2019, and starting on July 1 this year - these fees will be abolished.

Croatia is not included in the agreement, and the next step of the Regional Cooperation Council will be negotiations with the EU, so that the said countries and so-called Kosovo can extended the new roaming rules to EU members.

If that happens, citizens of Croatia will be able to make phone calls from their (Croatian) numbers while staying in Serbia, the other mentioned countries or so-called Kosovo - with no additional costs.

It is known that EU member countries have not been collecting roaming charges since 2017. There are still costs concerning markets outside the EU.
