The intoxicated son was hitting his mother with the hammer until she passed out.
She was admitted to the hospital in serious condition, and died on March 29.
An autopsy showed gruesome injuries inflicted by her son all over the woman's body.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect had more than two permilles of alcohol in his blood.
